I found out about this cd after looking for lyrics to Jacobs Ladder, and when I saw the track listing I just knew I had to have a listen. I saw Bruce Springsteen on the TV doing glastonbury and it was really intense, I had never given him much credit but now im getting what hes about, that was a great gig. My dad used to sing me alot of these songs when I was a kid, and its great to hear a music great paying tribute to them.
If theres much criticism I think that the backing band (E street band?) is lacking a real character, their sound is just a little bit to loud compared with the vocal, I guess I prefer a more sedate rendition of these songs. Overall though I think the Boss does a great job on it.
