It’s is weather proof, waterproof and unaffected by sun or salt spray. Lightweight: durable than glass, very light. Acrylic is unlikely to break. If it does it will not shatter into tiny shards like glass - it shatters into a few larger sized and dull pieces. This means it is easier to clear up and dispose of - and it is safer to have around children.
