Fluval Provac Powered Aquarium Gravel Cleaner

Seems very lightweight, overpriced and needs product improvement.
Having read all the reviews I knew there was criticism of the build which proved to be true. As a gravel cleaner it is powerful and better than cheaper battery powered models, yet it needs improvement. Given its power the cartridge fills and blocks quickly, with water spraying out of the top (quite a surprise). An alternative by-pass should be possible. Fluval also need to develop a means of catching the larger crap that gets dragged up - I used a net to hoist it out when the cleaner is turned off - but there should be a built in remedy. The LED seems pretty pointless and I found it impossible to distinguish between the 2 speed settiungs. At this price a spare cartridge and some liners would also have been useful. l doubt I will be buying any Fluval liners as they seem quite overpriced compared with making my own filter pads. No doubt I will get good use from the Fluval Provac but when you buy a Ferrari you do expect to get a spare wheel and brakes that work.
