Seller should not be selling these items. unless they have authority to have them, i.e.police officers. Seller did not confirm or verify who selling to and the police are aware of this seller and monitoring sellers who sell items for police and government when they should not be and will be dealt with accordingly by doing so. It is a criminal offence.

This buyer is entirely mistaken…or just malicious . It is NOT an offence to sell police pin badges. There are hundreds of sellers on eBay, selling similar items.The badge they purchased was clearly a Retired Police Officer pin badge. There is NO specific “authority” required to own or purchase such items. There are a significant number of legitimate collectors of all types of police badges and memorabilia. It is an entirely lawful and respectable hobby.

Unfortunately, this buyer opened a case with eBay, before informing us that Royal Mail had failed to deliver their order. Would have been happy to send the replacement that the buyer states that they would have liked but, as they had opened a case, the only way to close it was to refund. It is always much better to reach out to a seller, if Royal Mail don’t do their job, as any decent seller will resolve the issue. However, if you just open a case , a sellers ability to resolve is limited
