A baby step into the universe.
Stephen James O'meara's book Observing the Night Sky with Binoculars is a great book for beginners. It starts out showing you how to find the 'big DIPPER' and all the atronomical principals that can be learned by just studying this one constellation. It's so simple yet so powerful. You'll be an old hand at basic obsevation in no time at all. You don't even need to have any astronomy experienece. Just have a good time using this book. What appears to be a baby step is really a giant step for everybody interested in the stars. Have some fun. Buy this book ,then go in your back yard and open up a whole new world of the night sky. Tim Leap
