Doomed to Repeat: The Lessons of History Weve Failed to Learn by Bill Fawcett

GREAT START; TEDIOUS FINISH
I had high hopes for this book after reading the first chapter about Afghanistan. The part about Afghanistan offered real insight into history and how to learn from it. Unfortunately, subsequent chapters focused on the pitfalls of capitalism. Time and again, Mr. Fawcett mentioned the economic harm done to American citizens by the free market. There was very little mention of the hundreds of millions of people who lost their freedoms and tens of millions who lost their lives due to Socialist totalitarian regimes. To me, that is the danger that must not be repeated.
