Truly splendid! A visual feast!

This book truly is a fascinating read for all who are interested in linens from a bygone age. Expertly photographed and written, The Book of Fine Linen, could not have a more appropriate title. Having accidentally stumbled upon the title after a web search, I was delighted to have found a book, which can certainly profess to be 'The Linen Bible'. Historically, it is very well documented and complimented with supporting prints of ancient drawings and paintings. A visual tardis, waiting to transport you through the fascinating social, domestic and artistic history of fine linen. I would fully recommend, not only as a point of reference, but also for those who may like to spend a rainy or cold evening by the fire, with this visual feast. As a lover and collector of antique linens, my only regret is not having discovered this wonder earlier. Happy reading and enjoy!
