Buy genuine part and it worth the money
I got one of the knock off adapter. It works from time to time; has to jiggle the cable to get the connection. Finally I break down and bough this one. It not only charge the iPad while you watch TV, it also connect to TV every time i turn on the TV and iPad. Just because it is genuine Apple doesn't mean it has to be expensive. Search for box damaged but like new part and save money.
