Basic, and adequate for gentle use
The Duo'er gig bag is sturdily constructed, but austere as you'd expect for one in this price range. Padding is a thin layer high density foam. Protection of the bell flare and zipper areas is minimal or nonexistent, so while the padding might be adequate for moderate bumps to the side, dropping the bag on either end is probably not going to end well. Another concern is the size of the product. Any trumpet with a 5" or larger bell, or longer than about 19.5", is going to be a tight fit if it fits at all. Curiously, the length issue can be mitigated by inserting the trumpet upside down so that the long edge is over the leadpipe, but setting a trumpet down valve stems first is worrisome. They could flip this design over to fix this issue without even incurring additional cost. Overall, a nice value, but if I were going to use this bag for the implied travel purposes rather than storage, I would need thicker padding (especially on the ends), and flip the design so that the long edge is at the top. This would only add a slight amount to the cost, and right now there's a huge price gap between these Spartan bags and the $50+ professional quality ones.
