Fun read!
Mr. Lance has a writing style that reminds me a little of Duane Swierczynski (Hell & Gone, Point & Shoot etc.) in a story line that goes to the serial killer well and finds something new. It's a short and fast read, which is kind of nice because it isn't larded up with police procedural filler. The author deftly changes voice with different characters that ring authentic. About halfway through, you get a sense that there is a twist coming, but the other shoe is held until the very end and is a surprise, but makes sense in hindsight.
