One of the greatest Game Gear Games
Tails Adventure is a must have for anyone that has a Game Gear. The gameplay is quite unlike a typical Sonic game; in fact, it is much closer to Castlevania, Mega Man or Metroid. Much slower paced than a Sonic game but much more enjoyable, many weapons and gadgets to collect. (50 if I remember correctly; 40 for land and 10 for sea) Also, while rings are there, they are more like HP, as most things only take one or two rings when you are attacked by them. You start with 10 as the max, but as you level up the max amount increases as well as the duration of flight. The underwater levels are probably comparable to a Shmup like R-Type, although again slower paced. The only thing I would really change about this game is maybe making Tails just a little bit faster. Not by much, but he does feel a bit too slow. Other than that, I just wish they made a sequel, because I want more of this game!
