      The sale or offer of services that are illegal or sexual, or violate our user agreement, are not allowed on eBay.

      eBay doesn't allow the sale of or offers of services that are illegal, sexual in nature, or that breach eBay's User Agreement.

      What are the guidelines?

      Allowed

      Some examples of the types of services that are allowed include:

      • Home improvement services
      • Photography services
      • A gift certificate for a spa massage, but there can't be any hints of sexual contact in the listing

       

      Not allowed

      • Offers for personal relationships, including in-person or online relationships
      • Offers to become friends on online social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook
      • Personal relationships, including in-person or online relationships
      • Dating, sexual contact, escort services, or introductions to adult industries
      • Services that imply sexual or adult activity
      • Any listing that in any way offers or suggests sexual contact, including dating and escort services
      • A listing offering a massage or other service requiring physical contact
      • Personal advice and coaching
      • Medical services, such as surgery or psychiatric therapy
      • Recruiting services for any type of employment, including multi-level marketing and home business opportunities
      • Multi-level marketing programs
      • Get-rich-quick schemes

      Why does eBay have this policy?

      eBay wants to make sure that our members have a safe and enjoyable place to buy and sell services. We don't allow listings for services that are illegal, sexual in nature, or that breach our User Agreement.

      Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
