Fees are charged at a different rate if you're not registered as a business seller on eBay, or if you want to sell vehicles. To find out more, read Fees for private sellers and Fees for selling vehicles.

We charge two main types of fees when you sell on eBay – fees when you create your listing (listing fees and listing upgrade fees), and transaction fees when your item sells (final value fees, regulatory operating fee and international fee, if applicable).
You'll find more details below about all the fees we charge when you sell as a business on eBay.
All fees listed on this page are exclusive of VAT.
Final value fees
We charge one final value fee when your item sells, and you don't have to worry about third-party payment processing fees. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus €0.35 per order.
The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, the shipping service the buyer selects, VAT, and any other applicable taxes.
An order is defined as any number of items purchased by the same buyer at checkout with the same shipment method. Your eBay selling fees and expenses are automatically deducted from your sales proceeds, and the remainder is paid out to your bank account.
The variable final value fee for most categories is 11% for the portion of the total amount of the sale up to €990 (calculated per item), and 2% for any portion of the total amount of the sale above €990. The following exceptions apply:
Additional information about final value fees
- If your item doesn't sell you usually don't pay a final value fee. However, if you offer or reference your contact information to another user or ask a buyer for their contact information, in the context of buying or selling outside of eBay, we'll charge a final value fee for introducing you to the buyer. In this case, the final value fee is calculated as a percentage based on the higher of the fixed price, auction start price, Buy it now price, Reserve price or the price identified between the buyer and seller
- Sellers whose performance level is Below Standard on the 20th of a month incur an additional 6 percentage points fee on top of the final value fee on sales in the following calendar month. For example, an 11% + €0.35 final value fee would increase to 17% + €0.35. The additional fee applies to the total amount of the sale. Above Standard and eBay Top-rated Sellers are not impacted by this additional fee.
Regulatory operating fee
When your item sells, we charge a regulatory operating fee of 0.35%, calculated on the total amount of the sale. The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, the shipping service the buyer selects, and any applicable taxes.
International fee
If your registered address is in Ireland, we charge an international fee when the delivery address for the item (entered by the buyer during checkout) is outside the Eurozone and Sweden, as shown in the table below.
This fee is calculated on the total amount of the sale and is automatically deducted from your sales proceeds.

Seller currency conversion charge
This charge is levied by eBay S.à r.l. in connection with your use of managed payments.
When you create listings or sell items on an international eBay site, eBay may convert your funds to a different currency in order to collect amounts owed by you to eBay, or to payout funds due to you.
For example, if your registered address is in Ireland and you create a listing on eBay.com for which fees are due (such as listing and/or optional listing upgrade fees), eBay will convert your funds from EUR to USD using the transaction exchange rate applicable at the time of listing, in order to collect these fees. When the item sells on eBay.com, eBay will calculate your payout amount by converting the sales proceeds from USD to EUR using the transaction exchange rate applicable at the time of the sale.
If eBay converts your funds, the conversion will be completed at the transaction exchange rate we set for the relevant currency exchange. eBay's transaction exchange rate is composed of a base exchange rate plus a conversion charge. The conversion charge is a fixed percentage applied to the base exchange rate and retained by eBay. The base exchange rate reflects rates within the wholesale currency markets applicable to the currency pairing on the day of the conversion, or the prior business day. If exchange rates are set by law or regulation, the base exchange rate reflects the government reference rates.
If your registered address is in Ireland, the seller currency conversion charge applied and retained by eBay is 3%. If your registered address is not in Ireland, please refer to the fee page for your country or region of residence for your seller currency conversion charge information.
